Xavier Pacheco

Xavier is a Puerto Rican and Filipino multidisciplinary designer on a mission to create a more equitable, sustainable, and community-centered world. Through his work as a design educator, researcher, and strategist, Xavier has displayed his commitment to using design as a tool for social change. He believes that all designers share the responsibility of using design as a catalyst. Xavier is a UIC School of Design alumni, having graduated from the Industrial Design program in May 2022. Since graduating, Xavier has worked in a variety of fields, including design consulting, healthcare innovation, community research, and nonprofit programming. He returned to UIC in 2024 as an adjunct instructor, ready to empower the next generation of designers.
